hey all just want to share an experience...
1st I feel like I'm being tested all the time now :-P
Received a phone call from distressed client, panicking about budget and project development costs. I too want to help people, though I have to fight my inner self that tells "me people only complain but don't notice the good"… which as you know is crapola.
After the call, I concentrated on learning and extracting a better meaning from the conversation.
What I found:
- I and the client are not focused on the same things, so we are seeing things differently, thus we need to set our points of focus and become aligned
- Frustration will lead to breakthrough :)
- It helped me realize I need to realign goals and plans with the client and help them understand what the intended process is
- I must share my feelings and thoughts even more than before
It feels great to get good out of something I know that could have completely stressed me out before UPW and DWD 2008 - Sky High!
